Purchased my regular bra size with the help of the online advisor. I purchased a 32E and my regular bra is a 32DDD.
Ran for the first time in my bra and it is worth every dollar. The bra fits extremely tight however when I was running my chest felt fully secure and supported. The fabric was soft without and rubbing or cheffing. Definitely noticed the minimum bounce of my chest. Felt like I could run for miles. Here I come marathon!
This is hands down the best sports bra I have found. It keeps everything where it should be while active without feeling restrictive.
I love this sports bra. My favourite of all time
Excellent bra for running when you have a larger bust. Great support.
I think I may have gotten a size too small. But if not than the top of the bra should really extend further to cover up “spillage” other than that I like the support the straps give. I hope it supports well enough without the underwire.
Wouldn’t run without it!
My favourite running bra, and I'm DD. Thanks so much.
I am always happy with my shock absorber bra purchases! I find they have the best support and most durable out of any other bras I have purchased.
Thank-you Shock Absorber!
Amazing support. SO adjustable to customize to your preference. First time I won’t need to wear two “running bras” because this product is so superior to others on the market. Love the ease of the closures and racer back as well.
I usually use the Moving Comfort/brooks Juno bra but find it hard to get my size (38/DDD). This one held without the compression and had great coverage and control on the top and bottom. Tried a 38 F and I think the cup size is too large so when I have the straps tight enough to keep the ladies in place and I can barely get the band to come together. Next time will try going down with the cup or up with the band size.
I have used this bra for years, still my favourite.
I love the ultimate run bra - it is the only bra I have used for jogging and bootcamp for years.
Better than some of my other running bras but I still need to double up. I was so excited at first because it initially felt amazingly supportive but the material seemed to stretch out very quickly. Went true to size (36DDD) but I think I’ll size down if I purchase again. I’ve been running for nearly 10 years and I’m still strugggling to find a bra that I can forget about on the run. The search continues....
I normally stick to Moving comfort bras. But recently I discovered Shock Absorber and I will never go back. As a long distance runner I measure bra quality by chafing and bounce. This bra passes the test.
One of the best sports bras I have owned! Very comfortable.
Ce modèle offre un excellent maintien. Le seul pont faible, c'est l'étiquette de taille imprimée à l'intérieur, elle s'efface avec le temps. //Excellent support and the only negative point is the printed size tag, it fades over time.
100% worth the investment! This bra is extremely comfortable and perfect to wear under light-coloured shirts. I got it in the 34E: the fit was perfect and the support did not disappoint!
Just the Perfect support I need. I've been running with this bra model for more than 4 years now. The back clasps are positioned perfectly so it is easy to get in and out even when the bra is wet.
I need help putting both straps on, especially the top one.
Very supportive by way of its tighter fit. The band is 1 to 2 inches smaller than the Active Multisport Bra, however the cups are larger. Compared to the Active Multisport, a one-size-up band (32) and one-size-down cup (G) gave the equivalent fit of a 30 HH Active Multisport. An outstanding bra that really "locks down" things with some heavy duty bands, elastics and hardware. Serious bounce control for serious athletes.
Love it! I worried about chafing when I first got it but I put it on and went for a run and it's wonderful! Very minimal bounce and no chafing! Also it is super easy to put on and take off!
Modèle idéal pour la course même si vous avez de bons bonnets!! J’adore!!
I love these bras, they have good support and they are tough! But they have a small fit, it would be really helpful to have a size chart with measurement. It's hard to order the right size without these informations.
This is my 3rd Ultimate Sports bra & is fantastic for large chests. But this one, just like my first one, the shoulder strap slips out of its holder and I have to sew it in place. I don’t know if it’s the hook itself, or the material, but thankfully my mom has a sewing machine!
I ended up giving this bra to my daughter as it was too small for me. However she really likes it and finds it comfortable. The fabric that runs along the outer edge just under the arms could be a little more flexible is her comment. I will be ordering another one for myself.
It can be hard to find a sports bra with great support for large chests, but this one does it!! I highly suggest going one cup size up from your everyday bra though. This bra locks & loads you with amazing support!
This bra is like a match made in Heaven! Seriously, I highly recommend this bra to all women who are looking for something that will stabilize the bust during intense workouts. I used to wear two bras (one on top of the other) prior to the Ultimate Run Bra but not anymore. For the last ten years, this is my "go to bra" whenever I run, I do martial arts or whenever I horseback ride. Trust me ladies, you will not regret buying the Ultimate Run bra no matter what size you wear.
This is my go-to bra for cardio. The upper back clasp gives extra support and holds my girls in place without constructing them. My absolute favourite through two full marathons, a half and multiple shorter races. I have two of these so I can alternate wear.
This sports bra is the best one I have ever owned. I am a larger chest size and I have had a lot of trouble finding a sports bra that fits and keeps the 'girls' from bouncing, this bra does both. Ordering from Shock Absorber was easy and the product arrived quickly. The only issue for me was sizing as this bra fits smaller than the size I normally take. I normally wear a 34F and in the Shock Absorber I take a 36F. Great comfort and quality materials!
This is by far the best running bra I have ever found. I am a 36E and this bra is supportive, yet light. It's alysuper easy to get on and off.
I've just purchased another ultimate running bra. I love this bra!! The comfort and support is fantastic, I wear it every day even if I'm not running.
I've tried many other brands but this one is the best!!
I made an error in the sizing and had to return. This process was seemless and very quick. Re-ordered and received new bra the same week. Refund was within days. Excellent customer service!!
Seriously, I sound like I’m a walking infomercial for this bra. I’m big-chested but with a small frame and it’s taken me so long to find a bra that stays in place, supports, and comfortably fits my body shape. So many sports bras just don’t work for me. I’ve recommended this bra to so many people and now own four of them myself. I’m a mega fan!
I just love the Ultimate Run Bra! Started wearing this model almost 5 years ago, and have stuck with it since. They last quite a while before having to replace, (I am a distance runner, so my bra is very important and gets a lot of wear) good materials and stitching. I love how easy it is to get on and off...no struggling trying to get something over my head. My size can be tricky to find even in regular bras, (large cup size with average band size) so knowing that this bra comes in my size and is so supportive will keep me coming back to this bra as long as Shock Absorber keeps making it!
This is my third Shock Absorber bra and I won't waste my time looking at other brands. I am a 34 DD marathon runner and have found this bra to be comfortable and supportive for long runs. I highly recommend it! I was pleasantly surprised to find all the new colors that are available. NIce!
I've been hooked on this running bra since being introduced to it last winter..
I used to wear the moving comfort bra but this one is so much better!
It's so light yet supports so well while running. I highly recommend! I now own two of them.
best bra ever! Please don't upgrade or change anything about it.
I am so happy that I decided to go with the Shock Absorber bra! It is comparible in price to other sports bras, but it is by far my favourite!
Best running bra out there for bigger sizes. Nothing else comes close in terms of support and comfort.
Bra was great, however need To size up one band size!
I often find it hard to find suitable bras, because I need a large cup size. This sports bra is great - very comfortable and provides excellent support, even when I run.
I love these bras. Best support ever for D cup bras.
I'm fairly busty (DD) so have difficulty finding sports bras that fit properly. I love this bra! It's supportive enough to run with but the straps do start to dig into your shoulders if you're wearing it for long periods of time. Also, get a bigger size than you would normally wear because they fit small.
I was very hesitant to spend a lot of money on a bra just to run in, however every penny is worth it and I now own 4. I don't just wear one during a running, I wear all day as I can't find another bra this comfortable. Best support and comfort, will be buying more.
Could have written the previous review, I am also small banded with larger size cup. Able to run great distance with virtually no bounce, no strain on shoulders, no chaffing! Also, it is not an acrobatic feat to get out of it! I now own 2, the previous one is 5 years old. It has not pilled, stretched nor lost any hook nor eyes! Perfect!
This is my favorite running bra and I've been using it exclusively for about 5 years. I love the range of sizes, adjustable straps, that it opens at the back, and the quality of the material. As a small-banded, large-cupped girl, there is nothing worse than trying to pull a sweaty sportsbra over my head after a run (it's really a Houdini-like feat) as some manufacturers expect you to do. Thanks Shock Absorber for a great product, and Kudos to Shock Absorber Canada for providing great customer service too.
Getting the right fit is important to a good performance
To ensure your sports bra gives you the best support, here are some tips on a good fit:
The band around the chest should be level front and back. It needs to be comfortable but firm. A good gauge to ensure that the underband fits well is being able to fit two fingers between the underband and your skin. Any more space and the band is too big and could cause friction.
|Perfect fit. The underband is firm and level the whole way round.||There should only be a one to two inch give. Ensure the band is neither too loose nor too tight||If the underband rides up at the back then the band is too big.|
The cup should contain the whole of the breast, with no creases and no cleavage on show.
|Perfect fit. Each breast is full contained||If the breasts are squashed or cleavage is on show, the cup size is probably too small.||If the fabric is gaping or wrinkling then this suggests the cup size is too big.|
Sports bras come in different styles, usually a traditional U Back or Racer Back. The straps should be adjusted to fit securely on the shoulders with only one to two inch give.
|Perfect fit. If you slide two fingers between the strap and the skin, there should have only a one to two inch give.||If you slide two fingers between the strap and the skin, there should have only a one to two inch give.||If straps fall off shoulders, tighten them so that they fit securely on the shoulders.|
Do the bounce test! Jump up and down to check that you feel supported and secure.
If in doubt, we recommend you get professionally fitted
as 80% of women are wearing the wrong size bra. HW
