I've been hooked on this running bra since being introduced to it last winter..
I used to wear the moving comfort bra but this one is so much better!
It's so light yet supports so well while running. I highly recommend! I now own two of them.
best bra ever! Please don't upgrade or change anything about it.
I am so happy that I decided to go with the Shock Absorber bra! It is comparible in price to other sports bras, but it is by far my favourite!
Best running bra out there for bigger sizes. Nothing else comes close in terms of support and comfort.
Bra was great, however need To size up one band size!
I often find it hard to find suitable bras, because I need a large cup size. This sports bra is great - very comfortable and provides excellent support, even when I run.
I love these bras. Best support ever for D cup bras.
I'm fairly busty (DD) so have difficulty finding sports bras that fit properly. I love this bra! It's supportive enough to run with but the straps do start to dig into your shoulders if you're wearing it for long periods of time. Also, get a bigger size than you would normally wear because they fit small.
I was very hesitant to spend a lot of money on a bra just to run in, however every penny is worth it and I now own 4. I don't just wear one during a running, I wear all day as I can't find another bra this comfortable. Best support and comfort, will be buying more.
Could have written the previous review, I am also small banded with larger size cup. Able to run great distance with virtually no bounce, no strain on shoulders, no chaffing! Also, it is not an acrobatic feat to get out of it! I now own 2, the previous one is 5 years old. It has not pilled, stretched nor lost any hook nor eyes! Perfect!
This is my favorite running bra and I've been using it exclusively for about 5 years. I love the range of sizes, adjustable straps, that it opens at the back, and the quality of the material. As a small-banded, large-cupped girl, there is nothing worse than trying to pull a sweaty sportsbra over my head after a run (it's really a Houdini-like feat) as some manufacturers expect you to do. Thanks Shock Absorber for a great product, and Kudos to Shock Absorber Canada for providing great customer service too.
Getting the right fit is important to a good performance
To ensure your sports bra gives you the best support, here are some tips on a good fit:
The band around the chest should be level front and back. It needs to be comfortable but firm. A good gauge to ensure that the underband fits well is being able to fit two fingers between the underband and your skin. Any more space and the band is too big and could cause friction.
|Perfect fit. The underband is firm and level the whole way round.||There should only be a one to two inch give. Ensure the band is neither too loose nor too tight||If the underband rides up at the back then the band is too big.|
The cup should contain the whole of the breast, with no creases and no cleavage on show.
|Perfect fit. Each breast is full contained||If the breasts are squashed or cleavage is on show, the cup size is probably too small.||If the fabric is gaping or wrinkling then this suggests the cup size is too big.|
Sports bras come in different styles, usually a traditional U Back or Racer Back. The straps should be adjusted to fit securely on the shoulders with only one to two inch give.
|Perfect fit. If you slide two fingers between the strap and the skin, there should have only a one to two inch give.||If you slide two fingers between the strap and the skin, there should have only a one to two inch give.||If straps fall off shoulders, tighten them so that they fit securely on the shoulders.|
Do the bounce test! Jump up and down to check that you feel supported and secure.
If in doubt, we recommend you get professionally fitted
as 80% of women are wearing the wrong size bra.
