Great bra, probably should have gone up a band size. Usually a 34 A a little snug. But either wise great support. Would love if there was a bit of padding.
I ordered this bra because I saw that The Bay carried this brand. I can’t comment on the support or comfort level because I couldn’t wear it due to the fact that the band is several inches shorter than all of my other sports bras of the same size. I would add that the two-clasp system in the back of the bra was not designed well, the fabric was poor quality, and the stitching is really bad. I would recommend going somewhere else for your sports bras.
Unfortunately this one was a no for me because it runs really small, or at least ti did for me. I could not even do it up! Ended up exchanging it for my regular ShockAbsorber, the Ultimate Sports Bra. Its too bad because I really did like the look.
This bra is so comfortable. It is perfect for low or moderate impact activities and comfortable enough to wear for a large portion of the day. I'm very, very happy with this bra!
This was really well designed. It really does reduce movement with out being constricting.
I loved this bra. Due to the fitted nature of the product, my usual uk band size was too tight and had to return.
I returned this bra. The mid back clasp is too low, it's super uncomfortable. Not very supportive.
My boobs pop over the solid material and into the mesh part, so support isn't that great, unfortunately. Maybe I got the wrong size, not sure, but the other shock absorber I bought at The Bay is 100 per cent effective. It's solid material, no mesh, and no boob leakage + amazing support. This is one is mediocre.
I have owned a number of Shock Absorber bras over the years - it is my go to brand when I need a new sports bra or to replace one. I have not been very successful recently finding them in stores which I would prefer since I can determine the fit right there. For my online experience, I used the measuring instructions and still had to return my order for a larger size - band, cup was fine. With the correct sizing I am happy with my purchase.
Material and quality are great but I would choose the multi-sports bra over this one if you are over a DD cup. I still love it and will wear it when doing lower impact sports.
I am a long time user of the Ultimate Run Bra. With a difficult fit being a 30E like normal I sized up in to my normal Shock Absorber size of 32E which was perfect. This is great for weights, bar class and other lower impact exercises as I found it gave me less support than the run bra which was to be expected. The straps are nicely cushioned and it is very pretty when own alone. Would definitely buy again!!
Never got it as it was out of stock even though I ordered online where it accepted my order.
Great bra! Fits tight and similar to the ultimate run bra without the addition snap to a razor back. Chest felt secure during my workout great for cardio such as stair master or elliptical.
Will recommend and purchase again.
I am always happy with my shock absorber bra purchases! I find they have the best support and most durable out of any other bras I have purchased.
Thank-you Shock Absorber!
Cannot review properly at this time, ordered the wrong size, seems to fit a bit smaller than the running bra. But the quality and materials are amazing.
I love these bras. Best support ever for D cup bras. Don't ever go out of business!!! Your ordering and shipping department are great as well! Thanks!
Getting the right fit is important to a good performance
To ensure your sports bra gives you the best support, here are some tips on a good fit:
The band around the chest should be level front and back. It needs to be comfortable but firm. A good gauge to ensure that the underband fits well is being able to fit two fingers between the underband and your skin. Any more space and the band is too big and could cause friction.
Perfect fit. The underband is firm and level the whole way round. | There should only be a one to two inch give. Ensure the band is neither too loose nor too tight | If the underband rides up at the back then the band is too big. |
The cup should contain the whole of the breast, with no creases and no cleavage on show.
Perfect fit. Each breast is full contained | If the breasts are squashed or cleavage is on show, the cup size is probably too small. | If the fabric is gaping or wrinkling then this suggests the cup size is too big. |
Sports bras come in different styles, usually a traditional U Back or Racer Back. The straps should be adjusted to fit securely on the shoulders with only one to two inch give.
Perfect fit. If you slide two fingers between the strap and the skin, there should have only a one to two inch give. | If you slide two fingers between the strap and the skin, there should have only a one to two inch give. | If straps fall off shoulders, tighten them so that they fit securely on the shoulders. |
Do the bounce test! Jump up and down to check that you feel supported and secure.
If in doubt, we recommend you get professionally fitted
as 80% of women are wearing the wrong size bra. HW
